Hey, Carl..

A UsrSpc is the same thing as a DtaAra, but created with APIs. DtaAra
limitation is 16MB, currently. You can define/utilize these in several ways
in RPG III or IV (CL, REXX, etc.), but it depends on the parms to MQ (and
whether by val or ref and such) which would be one-a the better ways of
doing this.

MQ's a beast, and one I don't know a lot about. Might be able to find
someone, tho, if this or other suggestions don't help.

| Eric:
| I don't know anything about user space objects. With MQ, there
| are program
| API that you call and pass parameters. To place data on an MQ queue, you
| call the program, tell it you are doing a PUT (MQPUT), pass it a bunch of
| parms including the buffer length and the buffer data. MQ
| supports message
| up to 4MB, the limitation is in RPG.
| Does anyone out there know C? Is there a limitation on the size of a
| variable in C?
