I think they've supported n-2 for the last few releases.  And I am willing 
to bet that they'll continue that for V5R3 and support 52 and 51 on

Ahem, folks, since IBM support N - 1 OS environments, and since V5R1 is N
-2, why in the world would they do that?  The end of support date for V5R1
does not have an end date yet, but it is not going to be very long. (early
next year?)
