Found the problem.. always works out that way it seems, right after I ask for clues, I figure it out. LOL! Anyhow, I was specifying US-ASCII 7for the content type in the MIME header for the message text when I used an attachment. This apparently affects the subject line as well as the message text for that part of the message. Oh well... gotta love all the character sets in the world. :) Brad
