And I just discovered that MS Access does NOT strip leading zeroes when a number is quoted. I.e., it interprets quotes as text fields, no matter what, when you open a CSV. It does bring up a wizard, where you could change the data type if you wanted.

This is different from MS Excel - refer to a recent discussion on that topic.

BTW, if you have any decimal places (other than 0) or negative numbers, the FTP will not work - the decimal point is not sent, and the sign modifies the last character, so it is not a digit. Of course, you might be lucky and not have these problems. ;-)
