Good question Vern. I was wondering what Larry is looking for in keyboard mapping? A .kmp file has lots of flexibility and power in my opinion. Here s an example at the bottom of this page: http://martinvt.com/Code_Samples/SEU_Colors/seu_colors.html My wish list would be for color schemes or themes. I'd like a color mapping theme that is designed for copy & paste into a word processing document. As it is, the black background is just a tad over the top. Wouldn't other folks have special needs for special color themes too? If the tn5250 project implemented color themes that'd give the Linux crowd a feature to claim as their own, and perhaps give shops a nudge towards using Linux for the developers? --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@xxxxxxxxxxxx --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Date: 02/24/04 08:26:08 To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: Field+ and Field Exit keys- Hot wo make them repeat Just curious, Larry - what are the things lacking for you in keyboard remapping? I've been able to do anything I've needed. And macros can be assigned to keys, to allow lots more. The things that I'd like are predefined KMPs and a couple things in the interface that bug me - like, to assign a function or whatever to a key, it has to be officially "selected" - it does not work if it is merely the current item in the combo box.
