My point exactly. That and I would also assert that since real 5250 terminals don't repeat field exit, if an emulator does, it's because the developer thereof either wasn't aware that real terminals don't, or felt that to suppress repeats on field exit would be a lot of trouble for little or no benefit.

I agree that the default behavior for a true 5250 emulator should be to act exactly as the emulated terminal does. This is why we like CA5250 because you can move seamlessly between real and emulated terminals. However being it's software it would be mighty fine to support things like macros, cut and paste, color re-mapping, and other features. Certainly CA supports that but I wish it had stronger keyboard remapping.
