Ted, If that's the reason the copy failed, then having your vendor change it to a flat file won't help. It must have something to do with your path, or maybe authority to that path. OPT01 sounds like a CD drive. Is that correct? some things you may or may not want to try: Copy the file to an actual IFS directory and run your cpyfrmimpf from there. Or, copy it from CD to your pc, move to the IFS and copy from there. Or open it and parse it in excel and transfer using the CA transfer wizard. other than that, i'm not sure what else to try. I'm sure there are more IFS savvy folks around here that may be able to help you. Rick Rick, Yes, I checked the low level messages and it said it couldn't find the object on OPT01. Yet I can view it with WRKLNK. - Ted >>> rick.baird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 01/22/04 11:32AM >>> Ted, did you check the second level messages in your job log? This should work, unless you have data type mis-matches between the streamfile and the physical. I do it all the time. Rick -------ORIGINAL MESSAGE--------- I've pretty much given up on the pipe delimited stuff. I emailed the vendor and told him it wasn't working out and to send me a fixed file format. >>> coteijgeler@xxxxxxxxx 01/22/04 09:56AM >>> Ted,
