Mark, if SERVERNAME is not found in DNS lookup, then you'd not find the
remote that way.... Try by IP address if you can.  MKDIR
'QNTC/10.11.111.111'

I did a MKDIR 'QNTC/Servername' and it creates the object ,but there isn't
anything in it.

You can always do a CRTDIR '/QNTC/pcname') to make a PC accessible.

It is possible for the iSeries to find the PC on its own, but it requires a
WINS server to be configured on your network.  You'll need to let the
iSeries know where your WINS server is at.  I believe this is done via the
WINS address for the iSeries Netserver.
