Brad, The BAD_PEER message is coming as a result of the ssl2_HandleMessage function. This process does a PORT_Assert and loads it into the sslGather variable. Once completed, it checks the length of the returned structure. If the length of that structure is < 1 the error message is generated. This comes from the sslcon routine. You can look at Mozilla's code for this routine here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/security/nss/releases/NSS_3_2_1_RTM/s rc/nss-3.2.1/mozilla/security/nss/lib/ssl/sslcon.c John Brandt iStudio400.com -----Original Message----- From: Brad Stone [mailto:brad@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 09, 2004 5:43 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: Tracing Client TCPIP communications Thanks, Carsten. That doesn't quite do what I am looking for. :) Im having the problem with using the SSL APIs and it's returning a BAD_PEER error on the SSL handshake. I can't find ANY information on what the heck would be causing that. I was hoping that somehow I could get something like when you trace SMTP.. but I guess probably not. Thanks!
