I want to add my vote to that as well.

The archives likely cover where to find the list of ports, but here are the
requirements for Client Access 5250:

# 992 telnet-ssl
# 9470 central
# 9475 remote command
# 9476 signon

Also, you need to specify "Standard" ports in iSeries Navigator when you set
up the connection.  Otherwise it will try to use the portmapper to get the
ports from the server.  That connection is not secured.
