There is a sliding scale for getting back on support, or at least there was. I think it's in the November announcements. Since I don't know all of the specifics, I just forwarded your responses on to her, and i'll try to let you know what becomes of it. btw, their previous business partner went out of business, so they inadvertently / accidently let thier current ibm support contract lapse. They're now looking at a penalty to resign for support. they've only been a couple of months off support. has this happened to anyone else, and is there no recourse for them? If they have to eat the re-signing penalty to get back on support, that will be the nail in the coffin for IBM and the iseries. thanks, Rick _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
