So far the high bid is $2400 and buyer will pay shipping. This is for both
the 620 (210 CPW, 1280 MB main storage, 103.6 GB usable DASD) and a 3570-C01
tape drive.

I had thought that this was still a fairly decent machine, but I must be
wrong.

I am also interested in hearing more about the option of donating it to a
school. My boss keeps telling me that the reason for the (rumored) decline
of the iSeries is a lack of people with iSeries experience, perhaps we could
do something to try to alleviate that a little.

If you pay freight, you're paying too much.

I saw this tonight (sorry...I'm a little behind on my reading) and wondered
if you were still trying to get rid of it. Any info you could send would be
appreciated.

We migrated our 620 workload to an 810 last month and now it's time to
unload the beast.

It's a model 620-2181 with 1280 MB main storage, 103.6 GB usable DASD and a
3570-C01 tape library.

If anyone is interested please contact me directly and I can send you the
rack config.

Thanks,
