Yes, it is in interactive SQL, and the password disapears from the history. It only shows in the promt, when using CONNECT [F4]

I have already asked our local IBM support, with no results.

If you were to enter this command, not using the prompt, you'd have to put it in the clear, as there is no way to non-display a portion of a field. But it'd be sensible to non-display the password in the prompt. I suggest a call to IBM, asking fo a design change.
