Do the MQ commands and menus have that library as product library? Then you don't need to set them, so long as you use the commands. Do the MQ manuals have no guidance on this matter?

I'm with Rob on a library for modified IBM objects. We even have had an #include member up there, because of a bug in QSYSINC. But leave everything else alone there.

If QMQM is needed in a program of yours, use ADDLIBLE or CHGLIBL. Use RTVLIBL first, then restore that after your process is done (unless it's in batch and just goes away).

BTW, is MQ on a different numbering sequence than OS/400?

1) Some may put a copy of IBM objects in a library above QSYS in
QSYSLIBL. This way any user modified commands may be called instead
(except for those times that IBM hardcodes libraries).

2) V5R3? Spending a little time in Rochester perhaps?

Subject
qsyslibl entries and qmqm

Raging debate:

What belongs in qsyslibl? I believe just IBM system stuff.

What belongs in qusrlibl? I believe utilities, global app stuff, etc.

What belongs in jobd libl? Jobd specific.

What belongs in app specific libl? App specific.

This came up when trying to decide where to place the qmqm library
Websphere MQ
for iSeries V5R3).
