TV Ads for the iSeries? Let's think this one through. What TV show or shows could IBM target to reach decision makers who fit the profile of iSeries buyers? This would be executives or senior managers of primarily SMB businesses that are in the market for a new enterprise class server. Once you have identified those show's (if they actually exist) then you have to ask you self, for the cost of ad creation, production, and presentation, is there a more direct and effective way to target this same audience? Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see IBM devote more resources to iSeries marketing and awareness. But I think that stapling an iSeries brochure to the back of a million one dollar bills and dropping them into the eye of a hurricane might be a more effective way to advertise than spending the same amount of money on TV ads. jte -- John Earl | Chief Technology Officer The PowerTech Group 19426 68th Ave. S Seattle, WA 98032 (253) 872-7788 ext. 302 john.earl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx www.powertech.com This email message and any attachments are intended only for the use of the intended recipients and may contain information that is privileged and confidential.
