Going backwards in a working environment Is asking for nothing but trouble. Besides the stated issues of programming, Consideration needs to be given to DASDI space, Memory, and system speed on a older box and a old OS. A lot of packaged software like JD Edwards require updates to run on the newer OS systems. We are planning a move from 4.5 to 5.2 and are having to work with Edwards for updated software to make it work. Even 4.5 is NOT supported by Edwards for problems... Good Luck!!!!!
