Looks like you're getting lots of good advice here. If you can't IPL, you'll likely have to lose your spooled files. You could try manually IPLing into a restricted state first and manually cleaning them up. Until V4R5 the maximum number of jobs was 163520, at V5R1 and after it is set by the QMAXJOB system value with a max value of 485,000.
