That's what I'm going to have her do.  In fact that was my original
suggestion, but then I thought it might be an activation group issue, so
I went chasing after that.

It's submitting a new job. Activation groups are scoped within jobs, if
I'm not mistaken. Why not have the submitted CL place the lock on the
file?

I have a co worker that has a CL that is called interactively.  This CL
does and Excluvsive lock on a file and then submits a 2nd CL.  This
Second Cl will not run, because of the lock.  I have tried putting both
Cl's in the same named activation group.  I have tried putting the 2nd
CL in *Caller and the First in the default activation group.

Is this likely an activation group problem?  Can someone enlighten me.
I've tried looking at the archives, but i haven't found an answer yet.
