Not activation group. Two different jobs. If you put an exclusive lock
on an object then you cannot submit another job to manipulate that object.
Regardless if the job is submitted by you, someone else, or is a 5250
session, they are not going to have access to that object.

Subject
activation group problem -Maybe?

I have a co worker that has a CL that is called interactively. This CL
does and Excluvsive lock on a file and then submits a 2nd CL. This
Second Cl will not run, because of the lock. I have tried putting both
Cl's in the same named activation group. I have tried putting the 2nd
CL in *Caller and the First in the default activation group.

Is this likely an activation group problem? Can someone enlighten me.
I've tried looking at the archives, but i haven't found an answer yet.

Thanks

Mike
