I think there was some good discussions on QPRTJOB and server jobs awhile 
back.  You might want to search the archives.

Do you have your OVRPRTF in a separate CL program, in your RPGLE program? 
If RPGLE, how (QCMDEXC?)?  Would doing a permanent CHGPRTF be better?

I have an application that has a browser front end talking to RPGLE stored
procedures to do the business logic. One process generates a *SPLF that
needs to be overridden to a specific *OUTQ but the override is not working
.... and it appears it is because the print handling is being handled by a
QPRTJOB rather than the QZDASOINIT job that is running the program. I have
tried *JOB and *ACTGRP for the OVRSCOPE parm on the OVRPRTF, but neither
worked.  Any ideas?
