Is this one of those "security by obscurity" methods that says that if I
only allow SNA traffic from the iSeries in my DMZ to my production iSeries
then I'll have a better chance of thwarting attacks?

Anyway, back to your problem.

There are such things as "symbolic links", however I believe that, if it
works over comm at all, it's going to be via either QNTC or QFileSvr.400
which probably aren't too SNA friendly.

For example, in our Domino shop, we have
/QIBM/ProdData/LOTUS/NOTES/CLADMIN.PGM

or,
Directory . . . . : /QIBM/ProdData/LOTUS/NOTES

Opt Object link Type Att
      CLADMIN.PGM            SYMLNK->PGM

which is linked to
Content of Link . . . : /QSYS.LIB/QNOTES.LIB/CLADMIN.PGM

Subject
Accessing IFS using SNA

Does anyone know if there is a way to expose a directory of files on the
IFS
to another AS/400 using SNA?
Without using a file transfer method like SNDNETF.
Without starting TCP over SNA.
I am investigating doing this with DDM now, DDM does not seem to work on
stream files?

Goal:

Server1:
http://server1/myifs/myfile.jpg

server2: remote system IFS directory connected/mounted to server1 using
DDM
http://server1/yourDDMF
or
http://server1/yourDDMDIR/yourfile.jpg
