Really? I didn't have a problem with the internet when I was there this spring. The only problem I had was I thought it was over priced and they wouldn't charge it to the corporate card that the room was reserved under. So we had to use our personal cards. -----Original Message----- From: Leo [mailto:leo@xxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2003 9:49 AM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx; floridainfo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: Bev Russell Subject: COMMON at Gaylord Palm, Orlando For those of you collecting horror stories about the Gaylord Palms, here is one of mine: As those of you who were staying at the Gaylord Palms (for the COMMON Conference) know, the in-room (high speed?) internet WAS NOT working. One day I had to check my e-mail messages, so I used the telephone line in the room. I just checked my hotel bill and my two long distance calls (one to get the messages(1), and , the other one to send back one quick reply (2)) cost me over $110.00 US in long distance. (1) $79.67 US -- about 15 minutes (2) $30.68 US -- about 3 minutes Totall: $111.35 US Outch! Leo Lefebvre PS: Notice that this message is also sent to the Gaylord Palms hotel, so they will know that ALL of you on this list will learn about this! David could probably tell us how many people will be able to read this message (would over 500 people be a good number?) _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
