Sounds like you have a router, firewall or switch that is being overloaded
by the amount of data being written by the AS400.  This is causing your PC
to loose the connections and the data to be dropped.  By waiting for the ACK
for each record, you will slow down the sending and fix the overload,
(buffer overrun).  Yes this will patch your problem and is a good work
around.  I still think you should be looking at the differences between the
equipment between the PC and the AS400 for those 2 sites.  Some where you
have a bottle neck in your network.
