Short answer - No. I like the STRISDB version, as well. It's more like what I am used to in VB.

Now the debuggers available with WDSC do have something more like STRISDB, and they can handle both OPM and ILE, as well as Java and possible local C code on a PC, I think.

There are also the type of monitors like the STRDBG watch - based on contents of a memory location. The nice thing about these debuggers is, the contents are visible and updated as you step through, as in STRISDB.

STRDBG vs. STRISDB

I've been using STRDBG exclusively for awhile now, especially since most
of my development has been RPG-IV.

Some of my colleagues, working mostly with OPM code, are ardent fans of
STRISDB. One feature they use extensively is the Watch Variable, which
keeps selected variables listed at the top of their debug screen. STRDBG
has a Watch feature, but, after just now having checked it out, I don't
understand how it works; it seems to display a message every time the
information at the address of the variable changes (?!?!?), but I see
nothing that tells me what the current value of the variable is.

So, basically, is STRISDB's Watch Variable feature, as I've described it
above, available in STRDBG?
