Greetings All,

One of our core businesses is the ability of our customers to place orders on
the AS400 via internet.

I'm in the middle of creating a program that allows our AS400-operator to check
if everything is up and running and if necessary point out where there are
possible problems.

In a nutshell, the following is involved in the process :
1) An AS400-subsystem where specific jobs have to be active
2) Integrated Netfinity-card with mandatory Services and programs running
3) An external Webserver where the customer needs to logon before they get a
webpage where they can order/inquire our articles.

Checking this external Webserver is the missing link at this moment.

In order to check the whole process I need to :
1)Check if the start-page can be reached (http).
2)Check if the logon-page can be reached (https)
3)Enter a user and password (https)
4)Check if I get the order/inquiry page returned (https)
5)Logout

It's not the purpose of displaying these webpages in the program,
just to investigate the returned content.

Is this possible from within a (RPG-)program ?

BTW, we're still using V4R5.

Any suggestions are more than welcome.

TIA,

Chris
