You haven't downloaded the Unix-Type API manual and tried to go to one of the links. You've been lucky to use only the manuals that have links to the inside of the document.

than searching infocenter, download the relevant manuals as PDF's to my PC.
I only search the infocenter as a last resort. Don't know what all the fuss
is about.
