IBM gave their blessing: hello rob. no, there is no problem setting ptfs to apply delayed for an ipl before a save is done. also on the go ptf option 8 screen there is a parameter on the second page called Apply Type. default is to set ALL ptfs delayed. a lodptf will not ever apply a ptf. the ptfs you're probably thinking about (some iop microcode ptfs) get applied immediate perm only during the apyptf step in the accume application process. hope this helps...
