This has been discussed before. What is a user? If an interactive signon is a user, then what happens if users sign in more than once? Are ODBC/DRDA/database connections users? Are entries in validation lists users (typically used in web applications)? Are HTTP/web server connections users? Are disabled or password(*none) considered users? Are group profiles users? Are Operations Navigator connections considered users? Are webfaced applications users? Are Joe Pluta's PSC java servlets users? <smile> When a sockets program accepts simultaneous connections is it one user or many users? In all seriousness, "users" in this context is extremely vague. Users must have a very precise definition here. Where os400 eventually runs on generic hardware and users pay IBM a certain $$ amount per year per user for the use of os400. Do you think that your potential customers would be more open to using your software/iSeries combo if the iSeries was priced that way? -Steve
