It a great place to store the data, but if you can get the data off the disk then what's the point?" Your FTP performance problem was directly related to your own competence. As a system administrator you should have analyzed the problem and resolved it. You lived with embarrassingly inadequate performance because you were all too willing to blame it on a system you didn't try to understand. Throughout the entire thread you wrote off the iSeries as being incapable of supporting basic business functions, to an audience of people who have been doing just that. -Jim
