David, I seem to remember someone quoting a CEO/CFO here about a week or so ago which went something like: "Well, if the software is from Microsoft, it has to be good" Ah yes, living in cloud, head in the sand and all those other clichés. <snip> Unfortunately, evidence seems to indicate that most CFO's (and CIO's, who should really know better) in the world fall in the opposite category... otherwise iSeries would be the predominant system and Windows would just be a toy (not to say that Windows isn't a toy). david p.s. I would argue that CFO's should not be making IT security decisions ... they should set criteria, and the CIO should make the decisions to satisfy the criteria.
