Paul: I think Ed Fishel recommended auditing to verify what happens. In addition, you might want to review job accounting. See if system value QACGLVL has *PRINT set. If it does, review QACGJRN journal entries with entry type 'SP' for the time period. This can give a better picture of what happened sometimes. Be aware that if auditing and/or job accounting are active and there are no relevant entries, then no spooled files were created. If you believe there should have been some, then make sure the job description is set to log what happened that stopped the spooled files from being created.
