I've had a few customers at previous releases come close to losing OS/400
due to lack of attention to licensing.  The problem was described more in
terms of a system password rather than a license key, but the end result
was the same.  70 days after installation, the system would not IPL.  So
no, this is not new with V5R2.

Yes, DST could be used to reinitialize your hard drives so that you could
scratch install from CD.  I understand what you write about innocently
installing something you haven't paid for, I've done that also.  Now that
you're no longer innocent, what does your company intend to do?
