× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Did all of that. IBM seems to think it's something under the MI. Probably
only an IPL will kill it.

If it is external have you tried powering off the tape device ?

What about hitting the eject button to eject the tape ?

Just things I've tried in the past in kind of similar situations
