Tom: I wish I saw your post yesterday, I could have saved you some money. $1000 for that modem is highway robbery. I have a bunch of UDS V3400s (they do SDLC and BSC as well as async) we use all the time to do dial up BSC and SNA. (with out EDI clients). I would have given you one if you pay for the shipping. I wish I had figured out that the modem was not on maintenance earlier. IBM wanted $1000 for the modem and 2 hours @ $250 to install it. I am still trying to figure a work-around for the rest of the day. . . any ideas?
