If the internal modem is Async only, it will not work. I might be the only person to say this, but I like BSC for fairly low volume solutions. It is easy to set up, and works and is very reliable. What VAN are you using. Most VANS will now support FTP via the internet. Andy most VANS are offering discounted rates to do FTP rather than dial up BSC. The less equipment they have to support, the better off (and cheaper) they can offer the service. You may want to consider changing your EDI to FTP and use the BSC as a backup. cjg Carl J. I do not think you can configure a BSC connection on one. Hey copy your BSC line description and change the resource to the internal modem. Then see if you can save and vary on the line. If you can, the rest should work. Chris -----Original Message----- From: Tom Jedrzejewicz Damn straight - $1000 for the modem (and min 2 hours @ $250/hr to install) is ridiculous. I found a supplier on the web, bought 2 replacements at $100 each and had them overnighted. EDI was back up 5 minutes after the box got there; no lost business, slight inconvenience. I consider it a cheap lesson; now I have a backup. I am lucky it was a Monday, which is a slow order day for us. That said, I appreciate the offer! I am also still wondering if the EDI could have been setup to run over the internal ECS modem somehow . . .
