Cynthia: Personally I like the idea of a 2nd AS400 to access the first via SNA, but that obviously assumes that you have another AS400 available to use. We have a BOSaNova internet gateway server here in our office that we run for a client. The connection is IP from the PC client to the Bos server (can be either local or over the internet) and then the connection between the BOS server and the AS400 is SNA. This would solve your problem. The server license is about $500 and there is a user/seat license of like $175/seat. Sound like you would not need too many if remote support is all you use it for. I also agree with John about finding out your problems with TCP/IP. We never have problems with TCP/IP on any of our boxes. cjg Carl J. As such, we will be losing our ASCII Workstation Controller. We had been using this along with 3164 Emulation for remote access to AS/400 when problem with TCP/IP (this enabled us to restart TCP/IP remotely). Does anyone know what other options are out there? A vendor has recommended Nlynx Axcess/400 with ES/Remote. Has anyone used? Thank you.
