A judge with a "tech brain" ... is there really such a creature? Sounds nasty ...

In the USA legal system, judges can't initiate anything! It requires a lawsuit / prosecution to start the process. On reading the article, I can't see anything on this issue that Microsoft has done that is legally wrong.

Remember XENIX ... it was the first UNIX implemented on the IBM PC. It was released by Microsoft in about 1984.

Perhaps they are returning to their roots! <g>

It's a way for Microsoft to support SCO for its legal attack against IBM and
linux.  Microsoft gets to put doubt (fear of litigation) into the minds of
CIOs (or any other O's for that matter) that makes linux more difficult to
bring into the data center.
