I have a C SQL service program that has been running fine for a long time. Last
week we upgraded to V5R2 from V4R5 and now I'm getting these strange SQL dumps.

But I know the reason why - just not what to do about it. Before I do a PREPARE
statement, I attempt to CLOSE the cursor. Everytime but the first time the
cursor will be open. In V4R5 I got one message in the joblog that said the
cursor wasn't open, then went on to do the PREPARE. No problem.

But in V5R2, once it gets the error from the CLOSE, it doesn't successfully do
the PREPARE.

I have other C SQL service programs that do the samething, as part of the same
*PGM, and they behave as they did in V4R5.

I'm getting sqlstate 58004 and MCH3601.

Does anyone know what is going on here?

Thanks,

Phil
