I'm having a problem with spool files that print on our network attached
laser printers. It is happening whether the printer is set up as a remote
outq or as a LAN attached device. The characters (c) and (r) do not print,
and the character È prints as è. There are probably other characters that
this happens with - these are the only three that have been brought to my
attention. The same spool file will print fine on a twinax attached
printer. This happens to both *SCS and *AFPDS spool files. I'm up to date
on ptf's (latest cume loaded/applied last Sunday, along with hiper and DB),
and I've searched cover letters on the IBM site and haven't been able to
find anything relating to this problem. Operating system is V5R1, and the
printers in question are HP and Xerox models, and are setup with workstation
customization objects (mainly to adjust borders and print locations). Has
anyone else experienced a similar problem or have an idea as to what might
be going on? Thanks.
