Paul,

Be careful that all of the version of software at the Source(s) and the
Target(s) are at a compatible version with the DproPr v8 ptf. I know this is
a bit vague, but consider,
Set 1: AS/400 V5R1 Dpropr V5 Arch 2, Amdahl with V5 DB2 coming from Amdahl
to AS/400
Set 2: Same as Above minus the AS/400 and Dpropr, using Data Joiner on a
Win2k Server running DB2 common server v2.1 w/Oracle 8i and 9i coming from
the same Amdahl, going to an HP running Oracle 8i or 9i depending on the
phase of the moon! Administered from a Win2k WS running DB2UDB v7.2. Both
scenarios must keep working while waiting for Information Integrator to
resolve Timestamp issues and long (really long) Varchar issues.

The various combinations of what could break are staggering, and IBM answers
the question as usual "It Depends!" (Remember the phase of the moon? Add
clouds in the sky and sunspots to that!!)

So be sure that all of the various versions are compatible and be thankful
that the setup is most likely not as convoluted as ours!

Subject: SQL problem asking for a Data Propogator PTF (V5R2)

A client's programmer is getting this message when working on a project
utilizing SQL. I'm not involved with this project, but the administrator is
being told that the programmer that IBM is telling him to get a verion 8 of
Data Propogator PTF. He's getting this message (including the goofy
characters):

* Â SQL0153 - Column list required in CREATE VIEW Â  Â  Â  Â  Â  Â  Â  Â  Â
              - If you have registered views over two or more base
tables, then the QZS Â Â Â Â program may end with the error SQL0153
'Column List Required for CREATE

Anybody run into this?
