Hmm, the DDS manual is pretty easy to get to from the reg Info Center page. I've bookmarked the v5r1 English language entry page so I don't have to go through choosing my OS version and preferred language. From there it's three clicks in the navigation frame--"Database and file systems," "DB2 UDB for iSeries," "Manuals and Redbooks." I have to do more than that to get to some files on my own hard drive. I've been looking at spool file apis this week and was amazed how easy it is to get to real information. The search capability within the manuals is not as good as the Book Manager version, but most manuals are easy to find. Between Code400 help (WDSC or whatever they'll call it next week), which contains the DDS Manual, BTW, and Info Center I find I can look up most things I want without a lot of effort. Try the advanced search in Info Center, it enables you to narrow your search to areas where you think the information might be. It's not perfect, but it's so much better than it was a couple of years ago that there's no comparison. I think it's gotten to useable status.
