One of my biggest programming errors was forgetting to include a program call in a CL. It disabled the nightly store model stock calculation. Six months later one of the end users noticed that model stocks hadn't changed in a while. (The numbers are usually between 2 and 5 for most items.) At least I was able to fix it with one line of code. I've been working on a system that's been in place for over ten years pretty much unchanged and have found all sorts of surprises that weren't even known bugs.
