Booth, very good points. As I recall, your conference is even under $500...USD... The thing we find with the JAM here in DC is in addition to your comments, folks with actually goto BOTH events. The WAM JAM and COMMON. They look at one to fill in the blanks they had with the other, and that's generally due to schedule/event conflicts. So, it's the best of both worlds. Also, yes, we still run into alot of shoppes who's managements think that if they buy them a copy of News/400 and get them a freebie subscription to iSeries Magazine that they've completed all they need for the IT staff's education... So, yeah, we even have folks that call in sick that day and show up at the JAM... And then there's the shoppes that wouldn't sent their folks to either COMMON or the Tech conf unless hell froze over...or IBM started marketing iSeries on prime time TV...:) Have a good weekend...
