My first >guess would be that your PC is defined as a workgroup member rather than as part of a Windows domain. If so, then the >matching Windows profile must be defined on your PC. Your first guess is correct. I have tried the userid/password as all uppercase and all lowercase and userid upercase and password lowercase. My pc is a workgroup member - there is no domain. And the userid stuff is defined on the pc in question and I have tried all combinations of upper/lower case that I could think of >Also, did you manually create the /QNTC directory or did it appear automatically through normal NetServer execution. I created it. >If you created it yourself, did you use Windows machine name or specify IP address? And are you at V5R1 or V5R2? Used the 'CaseSensentiveWindowsName' and I am at V5R2M0 current cum. When I put '5' by it to display it waits a while like it is trying then just displays the . and .. ;) Plenty more when crossing Windows domain boundaries (trust relationships, firewalls, who knows what else). I believe that... by the way - I only use SetSockOpt, if it would help I have a working Prototype for that... Thanks Tom Tom Liotta
