Years ago (like 15+) I know I was able to 'share' a print file on the 
S/36 such that 2 separate RPG print programs run within the same 
procedure ended up as 1 spool file.

Jeff: I work solely in an M36 environment,and have worked in the /36 environment
for quite awhile.
       I cannot remember ever running two programs (OPM), in one procedure, and 
have 
only one spool file out. Each exe, creates a separate spool file.
      It is also probably possible, to merge the two spool files, place them 
back in the 
spool queue, and then print....
