Just noticed this file in our IFS in the "tmp" folder. It displays as
"s.slapd" and has an owner of Qdirsrv. I suspect it has something to do with
the apache server?

I assume I can safely delete it as it's not in use.

Hi, Ken:

There is some good information available at Al Barsa's web site, at

    http://www.barsaconsulting.com

where you can click on "On-line Information" on the left, and "drill down"
to
"White Papers" where you can find one entitled:

"The Benefits of OS/400 Release Currency"

which I think is relevant to this discussion, even though it is a few years
old now,
most of the content is still relevant.

I will try to follow-up with another e-mail in the near future, as I think
of anything
else that might help...

Regards,
