At a recent conferences session we heard the words "A minimum of 768 is
needed, preferably 1 gig, to get decent performance speeds."

Subject: WebSphere/WebFacing development hardware requirements

Hi folks

We're investigating WebFacing, and at present the test apps are running
on the developers pc (not deployed to the 400 yet). The most noticable
thing so far is the speed (or complete lack of it) of generating the
WebFaced app, and running it isn't much faster (though better on
subsequent runs). This is on a 733MHz box with 256Mb RAM, which I know
is underpowered, but by how much? What is the practical minimum config
needed to get this working at a decent speed - or doesn't that PC exist
yet ;)

Also, once we do deploy, is there a minimum amount of memory required on
the AS/400. The apps are being run against our dev box which has 1Gb
currently. Production box has 6Gb so should be less of an issue I hope.

Regards, Martin
