I'm afraid I must concur, looks like it. IBM's has been
consolidating and homogenizing everything. It doesn't seem
they view OS400 (or zOs, or AIX) as doing anything for them
anymore.

IBM sells its hardware and software and services worldwide,
also, so must consider the worldwide market. Almost everbody
outside the US will move toward Linux, especially in the
poorer countries, especially as MicroSneaky gets its OS's
booby-trapped better (like XP).

__On them "unbundling" the DB2 on the iSeries, they already
did a market test on one thing to "unbundle", and that was
the "interactive charge". This makes more sense with this
Linux thing, as in herding us over to the more homogenous
way of doing things. They've probably already talked about
it a little bit, internally.
