IMHO,

Your boss is full of horse p**p.

If I had to guess, OS/400 will probably outlive me.  I'm over the
half-century mark (but I still like to snowboard at Heavenly and ride my
SkySki!).

Linux will be in the picture, but I don't see it becoming the controlling OS
on the iSeries any time soon.  On the other hand, it makes perfect sense on
the pSeries.  I don't see the need for IBM to continue with AIX development
and support.
