Hey all
I'm in the middle of trying to suss out a full build scheme at a client using
Aldon. My approach isn't working and of course, I haven't enough expertise (in
my head or at hand) to sort out what I want to do.
What I'd very much like to do is to be able to do a "one stop shop" when it
comes to service creation or promotion. That is, I have a service program, and
it should go through a 'full build', which means:
- compile the modules - bind the modules into a service program - remove the binding directory entry (trapping a not found error) - re-add the binding directory entry
I've spoken to Aldon support about this issue and they tell me I'm out of luck.
Aldon doesn't support that notion. Which sorta implies to me that Aldon isn't
nearly ready for ILE prime-time, but then again, my experience with this tool
is limited, so perhaps there's something I'm missing.
We're on release 7.1F.
Any ideas?
Thanks
-Doc
